Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
