Ten individuals found guilty of cyber-bullying against Brigitte Macron

A court in Paris has found guilty ten people for perpetrating the digital intimidation of Brigitte Macron, the spouse of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

The those on trial faced accusations of disseminating fabrications regarding her sex and sexuality, in addition to publishing malicious remarks about the husband and wife's age disparity of 24 years.

The court issued suspended jail terms of up to eight months to the defendants. The full ruling has yet to be released.

A longstanding conspiracy theory suggesting that Brigitte Macron is a trans woman has spread widely since her husband's initial election in 2017.

This recent ruling in France coincides with the Macrons engaging in a legal action for defamation in the United States of America against conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has also voiced comparable unfounded claims about the first lady's biological sex.

Their legal filing contends that Owens brushed aside substantial counter-evidence disproving her claim opting to platforming known conspiracy theorists.

Owens has frequently reiterated these allegations on her digital program and social media channels, and in March 2024 proclaimed that she would stake her entire professional reputation on her conviction that Mrs. Macron is in fact a man.

Brigitte Macron initially encountered her current spouse when she taught at his secondary school.

The pair married in 2007, when the future French president was 29 and she was in her mid-50s.
